The Social 100 Mile Bike Ride

Four years ago my younger brother Chris wanted to enter Ironman wales, I’ve competed in triathlons over the years, I’m 53 and little brother is 13 year younger. So Chris was looking for a ride to try and get high milage in his legs and found the Carten ride.

We entered along with his mate Mathew the first time…

Raising money for brilliant charities along with way

The ride itself is challenging in parts but the support from the start line to Baglan Boys Club, to Burry Port, by the way a lady there make the most amazing fruitcake, right to end at Tenby is fantastic, we’ve been hooked ever since.

The three of us did it again the year after and another friend joint us last year, Darren. This year our number has grown and there will be 5 of us with Ed joining the gang. Organisation of the ride is fantastic with support vehicles out riders safety couldn’t be better.

But when you get to that finish line OMG the feeling and the crowd. I find it really emotional and to think we’re raising money for brilliant charities along with way, making new friendships and self achievement doesn’t get better so cheers to you see you on the start line.
