With some nice weather and 2500 riders the CARTEN 2018 was a huge success, and we raised a total of £147,469 for so many great Welsh causes! We also dedicated the ride to a Ride for Simon.

2018 Charities

Donations of  £61,884 were for Velindre Cancer Centre and £50, 385 for Tenovus Cancer Care’s ‘Closer to Home Appeal’ in CARTEN 2018. We again included smaller donations for other great Welsh causes:

  • Wales Air Ambulance
  • National Association of Blood Bikes
  • Pedal Power
  • Stroke Wales
  • Latch Wales
  • Kidney Wales
  • Tenby Sea Cadets
  • Raglan Boys and Girls Club for their help in hosting us for a refreshment stop
  • Burry Port RNLI for their help in hosting us for a refreshment stop

2018 Sponsors

Our 2018 campaign achieved an incredible figure of £34,900! In addition to our shirt sponsors we also receive invaluable help and support from numerous other individuals and businesses. We would like to particularly thank Bridgend Ford and SofaSofa for their provision of support vans on the day of the ride. We would also like to thank those volunteers for their technical support on the day. A big thank you also goes to Steve from Mckenzie Dry Stores who supplies all of the bananas to keep us going along the route and to Prince’s Gate for keeping us hydrated.
